B.A.S.T.I.O.N. is deployed on testnet for the PEGS founding-asset cohort. UAINs issued during this phase are anchored on testnet and re-anchored on mainnet at cutover. Architecture and governance below describe the production design.

What B.A.S.T.I.O.N. Does
B.A.S.T.I.O.N. provides a tamper-evident foundation for every PEGS asset record. It anchors cryptographic hashes on a permissioned blockchain, ensuring that no record can be altered without detection.

On-Chain vs Off-Chain
B.A.S.T.I.O.N. follows a strict separation between what is anchored on-chain and what is stored off-chain. No personal data ever touches the ledger.
Cryptographic Hashes Only
- Universal Asset Identification Number (UAIN)
- SHA-256 hash of the metadata snapshot
- Event type and version
- Signer identity and endorsements
- Timestamp and transaction ID
No personal data is stored on-chain. No documents. No ESG scores. No PII.
